Healthy Habits: Mall Walking

Want to turn mall walking into a serious workout if it's too wet to walk outside? Start out at a slow pace to warm up for about 5 minutes. Then up the speed to a power walk for 5 minutes, while you find the nearest staircase (if there are no stairs, use the escalators). Walk up and down for 5 minutes. Then, walk around the mall at a medium pace, speeding up briefly as you pass each store of your chosen type (jewelry, clothing, shoe, children's, etc). Do this for another 5 minutes. Do 5 more minutes of stairs, and a 5 minute slow-walk cooldown.
