Consumer Critique: Online Baby Massage

I recently found out about Online Baby Massage taught by Helen at New Stork Times. You can get classes and instruction on just about anything online nowadays, and baby massage is no different. Helen an infant massage instructor from the UK who has taught hundreds of parents how to help their babies be more settled and less fussy and ease colic symptoms, as well as participate in a great bonding experience. Helen combines basic baby massage teachings with reflexology to create her ‘Massage For Happy Babies’ routine. In 2010 she created a DVD to allow parents to practice at home, in their own time, anywhere in the country. Shortly after that, the DVD was made available online as a digital download so parents all over the world can learn this routine with their beautiful babies at home.

I am a firm believer in the benefits of baby massage. Even without specific training, the increased amount of physical touch is proven to have significant benefits for baby (and mom). With more specific guidance, these benefits can increase.

The DVD is produced in the UK, so there is an English accent to deal with - but it's still pretty understandable. The download is $24.25 and can be downloaded immediately. It contains an easy to follow infant massage routine, both basic massage and reflexology; and chapters divided into each section of the body, so you can watch all at once or focus on one part, repeating that section. Plus, you get some bonuses as well: Relaxation for New Mothers, Baby Massage eBook, Baby Sleep Solution Report and Audio, Baby Bowen Report, and Understanding & Treating Baby Colic eBook.
