I recently got a few press releases about new toys that I hadn't heard of before. The first is from Paper Jamz - it's a microphone that improves the quality of a person's voice, and also gives the option to sing with or without an existing vocal track. You can download the app at the website and add your own songs or choose from a list of songs to try it out. Paper Jamz also makes paper-thin electronic instruments like guitars. These seem like fun ways to have fun with music. The Pro Microphone comes in 3 colors: pink, neutral, and grey, and retails for $29.99. The mic will be available starting in July at Walmart stores. The product will also be available at Target this summer.
For more information, visit Paper Jamz on Facebook, follow @PaperJamz, or watch the PaperJamz YouTube channel.
The other toy is called Lite Sprites, fun little fairy-like toys that come with a wand that can "capture" colors from anything and spread the colors from fairy to fairy. There's even a fairy that "steals colors." Even if you don't plan on buying it, your kids might enjoy watching the Lite Sprites series on YouTube. Suggested retail is $29.99 for the Light Want and Forest Pod, and $14.99 for each sprite.

Both toys are made by WowWee, an award-winning manufacturer of toys. The 2011 line includes additions to the award winning Paper Jamz brand of musical instruments: Light Strike strikers, which bring video gaming to life: and Lite Sprites, which empower girls to magically capture and share colorful light with a world of small dolls.
