Consumer Critique: The Scrapbook of Frankie Pratt

I love reading. I don't mind books with lots of words, since I"m a fast reader. When I was asked to review The Scrapbook of Frankie Pratt: A Novel in Pictures, I had no idea what to expect.

Frankie dreams of being a writer, decides to be more practical and become a nurse, but then ends up getting sent to college after all after a brief summer fling. The rest of the book takes us through her time at college and her travels around the world.

I loved reading the book. It was such a unique style of writing that even people who might not like reading would be able to read this book. It actually took me just as long as reading a traditional novel, because the format is exactly like a scrapbook. The story, however, is still compelling, and by the end of the first section, I was hooked on the book. I highly recommend this to anyone who likes 1920s-era literature, or to anyone who likes scrapbooking - or anyone who is just looking for a fun read.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of "The Scrapbook of Frankie Pratt" to facilitate this review
