Website Spotlight: ZipList

Have you heard of ZipList? They provide online and mobile shopping lists, and recently announced a new way to develop the most accurate personalized recommendations for site visitors, with new functions to make discovering, sharing, buying and saving money on groceries easier. The food recommendation engine will take into account users’ existing food discovery and shopping habits to deliver meal inspirations that are likely to please users’ taste buds.

In addition, the company is introducing ZipThis, a way to share recipes and shopping checklists. “Using ZipThis is like being at a dinner party and going home with all your favorite dishes already in your recipe box,” said Geoff Allen, CEO and founder of ZipList. “Whether you are a picky eater or a dedicated foodie who wants to share recipe suggestions with friends, ZipThis propels sharing into action by allowing items or recipes to be saved immediately. The possibilities for group experiences are endless, whether it’s a teacher sharing a list of required school supplies with parents, or guests of a pot luck dinner sending recipes and ingredients straight to others’ grocery lists.”

Other capabilities of the new website include advanced recipe filtering other tools to help save shoppers time. Products are automatically grouped by aisle and category to save time in the store.
