Healthy Habits: Don't Sit Forever!

Experts say the length of time sitting has a negative effect on hour health. If you have an office job or another sedentary job, get moving! Set a timer to move around for ten minutes each hour - there are apps available for Mac and Windows computers, too. When you need to take a bathroom break, use one on a different floor of the house or office. Any time you're talking on the phone, stand up and pace, or do mini squats or calf raises. When someone comes in to your office area to talk, stand up and be polite.
