I recently had the chance to review Getting Over the 4 Hurdles of Life by Coach Dale Brown. It's a good inspirational book for anyone facing hurdles - especially for those who are fans of sports, since the book is written by a coach, with a forward by Shaquille O'Neal.
There are four hurdles described in the book - discouragement, failure (or fear of failure), handicaps, and lack of self-knowledge. Each of these is looked at and discussed, without making the reader feel bad for tripping over the hurdles, and providing easy-to-understand explanations and advice for rising up over them. With the same great advice that led to a syndicated radio program (Motivational Moments) that ran on MPR, this book can help you (or those you know) through a variety of life's challenges. It's short, easy to read, and very helpful.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of the book to facilitate this review.
