Area Attractions: Art in Bloom

Art in Bloom is a four-day festival of fresh flowers and fine art from April 26 – 29 at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. On Saturday, April 28 from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Creative Kidstuff will organize an artful and educational family-friendly event at Art in Bloom inspired by Butterfly, Butterfly: A Book of Colors by Petr Horácek.

There will be plenty of entertainment for kids including a scavenger hunt, face painting, DIY garden plant markers, Creative Kidstuff butterfly craft-making, and a 3D butterfly chalk drawing by Shawn McCann.

Children will learn about exotic butterfly species from staff at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory, and enjoy a reading of Butterfly Butterfly: A Book of Colors.
