Consumer Critique: Spot It

Every parent knows that there's often times kids need to wait. Nowadays, it's easy to pull out the smartphone and give that to kids, but you can also bring a nice, portable card game along. Spot It from Blue Orange Games is a great game that's easy to learn, but challenging for kids through adults. Although the suggested age is seven through adult, I've used these cards to keep my two-and-a-half-year-old occupied. The game is designed that there is exactly one matching symbol between any two cards. For a simplified version, just pull out two cards and have the kids look for it. The game comes with suggestions for a variety of other ways to play.

I love this game. It's fun and portable, not too expensive, and the company has a great focus. Based in San Francisco, blue orange games focuses on exceptional design using durable materials. They pledge to produce high quality, eco-friendly games that are easy-to-learn, mentally stimulating and bring out a lot of laughs. I can't wait to chck out some of the other games this company offers!

You can find Spot It at Amazon.com or at select retailers - use the Blue Orange retailer locator to find one near you.

Disclosure: I received complimentary Spot It cards from Blue Orange Games.
