Mom and I have been talking about different ways she can make some extra cash now that dad’s retired. It’s not a big deal but some of her more frivolous purchases have had to go by the wayside because she’s really not comfortable buying shoes or something with his pension so my suggestion to her was that she start selling her knitwear online. There are tons of websites where you can sell crafts and I think that if she were to put her baby blankets and socks and hats and whatnot online she’d have a lot of interest. Afterall, who doesn’t love the idea of something homemade that you can get from an ACTUAL grandmother online? I only wish I’d been able to buy such thoughtful gifts back then but you know, that’s not what I’m good at. My mom can make a lot of extra money if she just does her hobby then gets rid of some of the clutter around her house that it’s produced over the last ten years – it’s a win win!
