Time Tidbits: Clearing Clutter

We all know we need to clear clutter - unless your house is currently perfectly organized, and I've been in exactly zero houses that were. So here are some tips to help you in your progress towards de-cluttering.

- Start small. Set a goal of 15 minutes at a time, or one hour a month, or working on one drawer or closet, or whatever works for you. This will keep you from being overwhelmed but still help you make progress. Start with the easiest area, to help give yourself some momentum.
- Take yourself off of mailing lists - snail mail and email.
- Give yourself limits for how much of something you can store, like binders, envelopes, rubber bands, or pantry items.
- Get rid of any clothing items you haven't worn in a year. You can actually most likely get rid of any household items you haven't used in a year too.
