Consumer Critique: The Muffin Tin Cookbook

I recently had the opportunity to review The Muffin Tin Cookbook: 200 Fast, Delicious Mini-Pies, Pasta Cups, Gourmet Pockets, Veggie Cakes, and More!. This is easily one of my favorite cookbooks ever. First of all, it's unique. I haven't seen any other cookbooks that feature exclusively muffin-tin recipes. Secondly, there's a huge variety! There's everything from fish to desserts, from breakfast to appetizers, kid-friendly options and party food. The introduction makes a strong case for muffin-tin cooking, too – it's instant portion control! The recipes are easy to follow, and the ones I tried were delicious. My only possible complaint with this book is that there aren't pictures by the recipes; there's just a middle section with photos of selected recipes. Although that's probably ok – my food always turns out tasting delicious, but never looks anything like the cookbook photos anyway! If you want help getting on this trend that has been featured on Cooking.com, Pillsbury.com, and many more – and popularized by Mrtha Stewart and Rachael Ray – this is an excellent resource. Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of the book to facilitate this review.
