Consumer Critique: Sara Haley Daily Sweat

I recently had the chance to review Expecting More - Sara Haley's Daily Sweat Pregnancy Program (2 DVDs). This DVD is designed by a fitness professional who wanted to stay fit throughout her pregnancy.

When I was pregnant, my OB-GYN stressed regular activity. Obviously, you don't want to start anything really strenuous if you haven't been active before. However, you can definitely continue activity, with only some restrictions, throughout the pregnancy. You should consult with your doctor to make sure, however.

This DVD is great. It provides options for a variety of fitness levels, as well as a variety of activities, including cardio and strength training - all designed to be safe for your pregnancy. It can also be a good way to get your post-pregnancy body back into shape.

Quite honestly, it makes a good non-pregnancy workout too. I haven't been pregnant for over two years now, and I got a good workout. Sara does a good job of explaining the moves, and options for people at different fitness levels - and many of the activities are also appropriate for people who may have sensitive areas due to injury (for example, my mom has to be careful of her knee and shoulder, so a DVD like this with modifications but still with intense activities is perfect).

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this DVD to facilitate this review.
