Contest: Curbside Chaos $5,000 Yard Makeover

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done. for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

DigDropDone.com is a very easy to use website that talks about using bulbs to beautify your yard. You can visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more about bulbs, including browsing bulb types and family fun with bulb-themed activities. Right now, my favorite idea is the picture of the Peeps and tulips together! They also have some fun perspectives on who grows bulbs - my favorite is the super mom, who's too busy to really spend a lot of time gardening. That's a lot like me - I have a lot on my plate, so I don't want a high-maintenance yard.

At Curbside Chaos you'll find information about a $5000 yard makeover, currently in its final month (the end date is days away, April 15th). To enter, you just need to submit a photo of your hard. You can also browse the current entrants. Not only will you get the money, but you'll get a visit from Tanjya Nayak who will give you yard tips. Plus, for every share on Twitter, "Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done." will donate $1 to Rebuilding Together, a nonprofit working to make homeownership affordable and to revitalize communities.

Flower bulbs are easy. So easy, that my preschooler helped my husband plant the bulbs when she was just 2 years old. Dig. Drop. Done. makes it even easier with a great Garden Guru tool at Curbside Chaos (see the pic for part of what mine looks like). For this tool, you just need to know where you live and what bulb you want (you can browse bulbs if you aren't sure). You pick your country, then location, then the type of bulb, and the planting guide will tell you exactly what you need to do. Anyone can grow bulbs, not just expert gardeners.

Bulbs make great gifts too - instead of giving flowers, give a bulb and the recipient will have flowers year after year. We bring some of the cuttings from the bulbs indoors in the spring and summer, and I get fresh flowers every few weeks without paying for bouquets all the time.
