Healthy Habits: Color and Portion Size

Did you know that the color of your meal can affect how much you eat? Journal of Consumer Research found that if there was limited color contrast with your meal (think Alfredo pasta on white plates, or red-sauce pasta on red plates) that people ate 22 percent more. So be aware if your meal is white-on-white plates or monochromatic and watch portion sizes carefully.
