Home improvements

This guest post from Doris Dillon My husband and I have decided to make some home improvements to increase the value of our home. We did not think we would live here as long as we have, but because the real estate market took a plummet, we decided that we would probably live here a few more years before even attempting to sell the house. We went through our house and made a list of all the improvements we would like to make, realistic and not. We hope to tackle an improvement each month. One thing that I put on the list is looking into home security systems. I have always thought we needed one and I think it is important that we get one if we are going to be in this house a few more years. Another thing I added to the list is getting new light fixtures in our bathrooms. Our light fixtures are from the 1990s and they definitely need to be replaced. I would also like to replace all of the hardware in the house because it is gold. I do not know if we will do everything on our list, but we are going to try.
