Parenting Pointers: Homemade Dog Food

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of homemadedogfood.com for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
There are a lot of people who promote making your own homemade baby food, so you know exactly what's in it. The same reasoning can be used on pets. Homemade dog food is easier to make than people think. There have been dog food recalls in the past - and even without a recall, sometimes it's hard to find a brand that works for your pet. My parents used a major brand for years, and when the brand changed its formula, their retriever started reacting to it (greasy, oily hair and she started scratching her skin more). They switched to a brand that uses more whole ingredients and fewer additives, and she's much healthier. Of course, now it is more expensive.
If you're looking for a way to know what's in your dog food, you can check out the Easy cooked dog food recipe available at that link. Dog food can be made simply and inexpensively. If you're worried about what's in your dog food, I encourage you to do a little research and find out if there are healthier ways to feed your pet. Odds are, you'll be able to find a solution that isn't much harder or much more expensive than what you're doing now.
