Consumer Critique: Always Infinity

I recently had the chance to try out Always Infinity pads. I was really skeptical of them. I remember when I first got my period, that heavier protection meant thick pads that you could really feel when you walked - and I was always paranoid someone could see. Over time, they've gotten thinner, yet still more absorbent. But these pads really shocked me. They're thinner than some of the pantiliners I used to use that wouldn't hold for more than 15 minutes without a tampon!

It has what they call an Infinicel core, which is super-absorbent (the company claims it'll absorb four times what you may need, but you obviously still need to change it regularly). It's also designed to feel soft and move with your body - another big problem with the pads I used to use. These pads are so effective they're almost scary - I have no idea how they can absorb that much and be so thin.

I love that these pads are skinny enough that they fit easily inside a purse or jacket pocket with no obvious bulge. I'm still a little more loyal to my organic unbleached cotton pads, just from a "crunchy mama" standpoint, but these are really convenient, especially if it might be a little longer before I'll get to change pads (particularly overnight, when I don't like to wear tampons that long but don't like to leak either).

Disclosure: I received free product from Always Infinity to review but opinions are my own.
