Consumer Critique: Dude, You're Gonna Be a Dad!

I recently had the chance to read Dude, You're Gonna Be a Dad!: How to Get (Both of You) Through the Next 9 Months (also available for Kindle for just $1.99). I loved reading this book, even though I'm not a man and I'm not pregnant. There were several things I really appreciated. First of all, the book is written from a tell-it-like-it-is point of view. It's honest about the good and bad, and it's also written with a strong sense of humor. Not very many parenting books out there focus just on pregnancy, and not too many parenting books out there are written specifically for the dads, from a dads' point of view.

This is not the most informative guide out there. Nor is it the most serious - so if you're looking for a really serious guide chock full of everything the father needs to know about pregnancy, this probably won't be it. But if you're looking for a gift for someone with a sense of humor, and a way to break the ice about how he can best support his significant other (baby-making partner, in the terms of this book), then it's worth checking out.

Disclosure: I received a copy of this book to facilitate this review.
