Mealtime Magic: Turkey Burgers

I recently had the opportunity to interview Mark Bucher of BGR: The Burger Joint, on about a great way to serve ground turkey as a burger.

To one point grilled turkey, add 1/4 c diced portabella mushrooms and 1/4 c Danish blue cheese (the cheese that adds an earthy flavor to turkey). Add salt, pepper, turkey, and herbs (such as sage or rosemary/thyme) to taste. Grill on medium head 3 minutes per side, but grill based on temp, not time - meat needs to be 165 degrees. Put it on a buttered Brioche bun, add tomatoes, red onions, grilled jalapenos.

For a delightful dessert, drizzle peaches with canola oil and grill three minutes per side, sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar and top with whipped cream.
