My husband and I love to plan vacations. He grew up traveling a lot, and I also really enjoy travel. I've never been to Pennsylvania, but I would love to go, since I have a couple of friends that live out in that direction. We really enjoy roadtrips, becuse you get to see so many interesting things on the way from one destination to another, as opposed to flying. Visit PA has a fun Roadtrip-a-Matikc to help you plan your pa-roadtrips. The best part about using that part of the website is that it takes out a lot of the headaches involved when planning travel. It plans sights and attractions, and even places to eat and stay at night.
We have kids, ages two and four, so the one that caught my eye first was the Kidsylvania (sort of sounds like Transylvania....). It suggests Philadelphia, the Alleghenies, and Pittsburgh. But there's a trip designed for every interest, including those who like the quaint side of small towns, creative types who want to explore arts-oriented entertainment, active vacationers who want to explore trails, and history buffs.
I'm excited about taking a roadtrip out east. Have any of you been to PA? What was your favorite stop?
