Consumer Critique: Wealth Watchers

I had the chance to review Wealth Watchers: A Simple Program to Help You Spend Less and Save More over the summer. This book is nice for anyone who feels the need to take a look at the way they spend money, particularly if there's no set budget.

The author had always done well at managing money, but then had a brain injury that forced her to re-learn the idea of budgeting. She lays out the plan - based on the idea of the Weight Watchers points system - very clearly. To someone who already has a good handle on making a budget, this book may be too basic, and a lot of the tips in the book will seem common sense. But to someone who is having a hard time managing money, this book might provide the impetus needed to get on track and plug the small leaks that add up over time to drain a budget.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of Wealth Watchers to facilitate this review.
