Contest: Burgers Across America

Deion with the Prime Burger
Ball Park has teamed up with three pro football legends Deion Sanders, Tony Siragusa and Jason Taylor to search for the best burger recipes across the country.

Ball Park recently introduced Flame Grilled Patties, a fully cooked patty made with 100% beef that gives you the “just off the grill taste” straight from the microwave in about a minute.  Since no grill is required, it’s easy to make a quick, tasty burger just in time for kickoff or even during a quick commercial break.

Through the “Burgers Across America” contest, Ball Park is looking for touchdown worthy recipes using regionally inspired ingredients.  Facebook fans are encouraged to share how they top their burger for a chance to win a Super Fan Pack valued at $5,000 - including a new 52’ HDTV, a StubHub.com gift certificate for game-day tickets, a Fanatics.com gift card for new apparel and a grocery gift card!  Each NFL legend has also created a unique burger recipe.

Contest ends November 12th.

I'm unfortunately not very inspired right now, or I'd enter the contest - maybe I will some other time. But I can tell you that something that's sort of a regional thing (and I had never heard of before I moved to St. Paul) is the Juicy Lucy - the hamburger has cheese inside the patty. It's delightfully gooey, and the cheese takes on a little bit of the burger flavor, so it's delicious. Not quite sure how it would be possible with premade patties, though, unless it was made double-decker style.
