Parenting Pointers: TextBuster
Are you worried that your teen (or significant other) is texting while he or she drives? There's an intriguing gadget available called the TextBuster that I just found out about. It uses Bluetooth to block a phone's texting/email/Internet ability, but not its ability to receive calls or use GPS. It appears to have a short range - blocking the drivers phone only inside the vehicle. It also has a few security features - notification if the app is tampered with, password protection for the app on the phone, and trip tracking (so you can make sure your teen isn't driving farther than allowed). It's a good concept if you want to be abl to remove the temptation to text while driving. Right now it appears the only way to order one is to email the company through the website.
