Thrifty Thinking: Halloween Costume Swap

October 13th is National Halloween Costume Swap Day! Hundreds of communities across the country will gather this weekend to “swap” old costumes for new as a way to celebrate Halloween in an environmentally friendly and affordable way. Families, neighborhoods, schools and libraries will hold free Halloween “Costume Swaps” in their communities.

For specific events please visit http://www.greenhalloween.org/CostumeSwap/find_2012.html.

Green America’s Green Halloween® program has helped to organize more than 150 costume swaps in 37+ states around the country.  Costume Swaps save money and resources, build community, and help families to celebrate in a more eco-friendly way!
