Parenting Pointers: Divorce and the Holidays

The holidays are filled with family gatherings, traditions, gift exchanges and more. While this is typically a joyful time of year, it can be challenging for divorced parents – and particularly couples going through a divorce during the holidays.

Divorce coach, Latrice Milton, of Milton Family Law & Milton Divorce Coaching, has three big tips for how divorced parents can better manage the holidays.

1. Create a new working relationship, rather than focus on being friends.
2. Focus on creating new holiday memories for the children.

3. Work out details (i.e. meal times, gifts to purchase for kids, etc.) prior to the holiday.
