Caring Causes: Savvy Ladies Benefit Gala (NYC)

The Savvy Ladies 2013 Benefit Gala will take place on Thursday, February 7th 2013 at NYC's Ducal Palace honoring personal finance expert, author and TV personality Farnoosh Torabi as the Savvy Ladies Change Maker of the Year. Savvy Ladies is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women through financial education. Savvy Ladies offers free educational seminars, webinars, newsletters, and events to help women take control of their financial future.

Torabi is a frequent contributor to Yahoo! Finance and "The Today Show." She currently hosts the Webby-nominated show "Financially Fit" on Yahoo!, the number one personal finance web series teaching everyday Americans how to boost earnings, save more and spend smart. She has also recently joined Katie Couric's new talk show "Katie" as the program's personal finance expert. Torabi is the author of You're So Money - Live Rich Even When You're Not, a nationally acclaimed tell-all for young adults searching for financial independence. Her latest book, Psych Yourself Rich: Get The Mindset & Discipline You Need to Build Your Financial Life is an Amazon best-seller.

Founded by Stacy Francis in February 2003 after Francis received CFP® certification from the New York University Center for Finance, Law and Taxation,  Savvy Ladies has gone on to help over 10,000 women on their way to financial freedom in its 10 year existence. Savvy Ladies programs and services are making a profound and long-lasting impact on the lives of women who participate in their seminars, webinars, workshops, and hotlines. Savvy Ladies' education is about more than teaching participants to balance their checkbooks. It's about making families stronger, communities better and ultimately changing society.  

The Benefit Gala will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Savvy Ladies and the launch of their new website featuring video testimonials from women whose lives have positively changed because of the organization's mission. The evening will feature live music, a silent auction, wine and hors d'oeuvres. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Savvy Ladies.
