Consumer Critique: I Ate All Your Cookies

If you ever want to let your inner sarcastic wit out when talking to your kids, or feel like giving snarky responses to their questions, or are just tired of being positive all the time, you'll appreciate I Ate All Your Cookies: (and Other Things You Wish You Could Tell Your Kids). The book intersperses witty comebacks and the hidden truths with very appropriate photos.

A few examples:
Your thinking face is a lot like your pooping face.
When you twirl around and say "Are you watching?" the answer is usually no.
It's true - you look exactly like your daddy. I'm so, so sorry about that.

I got a kick out of the book. It's a short and easy read, and would make a good gift for anyone who appreciates the fact that motherhood isn't always perfect - and is willing to be ok with a few off-color comments and words thrown in (the language in the book is probably PG-13 on a few pages).

The author, Quinn Conroy, was once told (by a child), "you're not very smart for a grown-up." Considering he had just eaten a bunch of sand, she was inspired to write this book to provide humorous relief for those who work with, care for, and love children as they "deal with their relentless child overlords."

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of the book to facilitate this review.
