From WQED’s iQ: smartmedia initiative comes an original series for parents called iQ: smartparent.
On Thursday, February 7 at 8 p.m. tune to WQED-TV for the premiere episode called “Learning With Games.” Expert panelists include: Jesse Schell, CEO of Schell Games and CMU professor; Nikki Navta, CEO of Zulama; Dr. Brian Primack, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine Associate Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics and Clinical & Translational Science.
This episode also features the innovative SMALLab, a curriculum
innovation at Elizabeth Forward School District. Hosted by board
certified family physician Dr. Deborah Gilboa known as “Doctor G”, iQ: smartparent will
offer parents new knowledge, tools, and abilities to successfully guide
their children in the use of 21st century digital media and technology.
Through
the series of six broadcasts and a robust online community iQ: smartparent will
equip parents and caregivers with tools and resources to aid their
understanding and use of digital media and technologies for learning. To
