Annual eye exams should be part of every family’s routine. Undetected vision problems can lead to learning difficulties - which happens for about a quarter of kids. Eye exams are important for adults as well. Many vision-threatening eye problems such as glaucoma can be treated and prevented if discovered early enough.

I was 7. My uncle brought me for glasses, my parents didn't believe I needed them - despite the constant messages from the school. She had two other older girls who said they needed them and really didn't... so no way was she believing me. However I did really need them. And still do today!
ReplyDeleteI started wearing glasses in 8th grade.

I started wearing glasses in th grade...my daughter who is now 13 started wearing them in 3rd grade.
ReplyDeleteI was in the 5th grade when I got my first pair of glasses. They were so girly...even had a little butterfly in the bottom corner of one of the lenses! :) I remember coming home and looking at the tile on our kitchen floor. I had never known there were black outlines in that tile, but all of the sudden, there they were! A revelation, it was. LOL

I got my first pair of glasses in the 8th grade. I thought I would never need them since I didn't have to wear them in elementary school. Boy was I wrong!

I started with a hideous pair of speckled blue egg shaped glasses in second grade.:)Thanks for the opportunity. I don't have the right insurance and I am desperate for a new pair of glasses that are the right prescription and that won't fall off my face 100 times a day.
