Consumer Critique: Dark Tide

In Dark Tide: A Novel, written by Elizabeth Haynes, Genevieve Shipley is a hard-working woman who gets in over her head due to her romantic experiences. She's a realistic combination of sexy and smart, vulnerable and strong. The storytelling is unique, in that readers have to do some work to figure out some of the details in the plot with interwoven plot lines.

I liked the story telling style. It wasn't straightforward, which meant it wasn't boring to read. But it wasn't so challenging that understanding what was going on took all the fun out of reading the book. Present and past mix together to create an accessible, thrilling story.
