Fun Freetime: Homemade Play-Dough

Creative Kidstuff recently posted their recipe for best play dough. It uses common ingredients and is easy to do.

Supplies:
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 TBSP oil
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • Food coloring
Directions:

STEP ONE: Combine all ingredients in a pan and stir. Cook over low heat, stirring until a ball forms.
[Sue Says: Cooked play dough is my favorite! For a quicker non-cooked version, just mix all ingredients together very well and store in a plastic bag or covered jar.]
STEP TWO: Add food coloring and mix thoroughly to create different colors
[Sue Says: Mix it up! Mix different colors together to create new shades and hues]
STEP THREE: Cool on foil
STEP FOUR: Store in covered container
