At first glance, From Frazzled to Focused: The Ultimate Guide for Moms Who Want to Reclaim Their Time, Their Sanity and Their Lives isn't much different from any of the many time-management or clutter books out there. But once you dive deeper in, it is different in some ways. Some of the tips are those I've seen in many other books, such as having less stuff so everyone has a home. What's unique is the attitude with which she encourages readers to approach things: Select, Simplify, Systemize, and Sustain. She is a firm believer in not overcommitting, in making routines so automatic that they can be quickly done, and in keeping things manageable long-term by maintaining your progress instead of letting things pile up again.
I enjoyed reading the book. It had good case studies and practical tips, written in an "I've-been-there-to" tone. I picked up a few things that will help me in the never-ending efforts to have a more streamlined home!
