Contest: Performing Arts Scholarships (LA and NYC Performing Arts Camps)

Two scholarships worth a total of $5,000 for teens to attend performing arts summer camps at University of California, Los Angeles and DNA Studios & Pace University in New York City, were just made available today by San Francisco Bay Area -based US Performing Arts. The camps are taught by casting executives from the Walt Disney Company, as well as college professors, actors, directors and producers working in television, film and on Broadway. To apply for the scholarship, teens (with permission from their parents) will submit a photo and 100 word essay to www.facebook.com/uspacamps and explain why the teen deserves to win the scholarship. Finalists will be chosen by quantity of votes received on Facebook and winners will be chosen by the chief executive officer and co-founders of US Performing Arts after they conduct telephone interviews with the finalists. Deadline is May 23rd.
