I'm a math teacher, so I love anything with numbers.  Number Cross Puzzles: A Quick and Challenging Workout for Your Brain didn't disappoint me. Number Cross puzzles look like crosswords, but work a little more like a Sudoku. You're given a grid and a list of numbers, and then need to plug the multi-digit numbers where they work. The book is small enough to fit in a large purse or diaper bag. The concept is basic enough that older elementary kids will get it, but it's a challenge appropriate for any age. It's a great way to have fun with numbers - even for people who don't like computational math - and also a good way to strengthen logic and observation skills.
