Tempted, Tested, True: A Proven Path to Overcoming Soul-Robbing Choicesis a great book for anyone looking for ways to fight temptation. Although in God's eyes sin is sin, we often categorize sin and struggles as big or small based on perceived severity, when in reality, all sin separates us from what God wants us to be. What I love about this book is that it deals directly with "major" issues like sexual sin and addiction, and with "smaller" issues like anxiety and fear. It also includes four personal stories, and specific chapters that focus on issues particular to men and women. Let's face it - we're wired differently and tend to be drawn more towards certain things based on gender, and, as the book points out, even when we're tempted by the same sin, men and women often express it differently.
The book nudges readers, out of their comfort zones, convicting us, all to help resist temptation and reconcile with God when we do succumb.
