Healthy Habits: Organ Donation

I recently had a chance to interview Chris Klug, professional snowboarder and Olympic medalist, about a very important topic - organ donation. He was the first medalist to win after receiving a transplant, and answered questions about the importance of organ donation. Right now there are over 115,000 people waiting for transplants in the US, and nearly 20 people die each day before an organ becomes available. Organ donation is a very worthy cause to consider. In many states you have an option to sign up on your driver's license application, but it's important to also let your family know your wishes, as it's ultimately their choice to donate your organs after you're gone. Below is a recording of the interview, in which Chris explains some of the reasons why there's such a shortage, facts about organ donation, and how people can help. You can also visit Donate Life to find out more.
