Most of us have children around us whether it’s our own, relatives, or a friend’s children. And we may plan to buy them something either for a holiday, birthday, or some other special occasion. There are a lot of great gift ideas for children. However, we get busy, forget, or just can’t decide on what to get the person and it happens that at the last minute we are scrambling trying to figure out what would be a good gift. Money

All kids love receiving money and it is something they will use right away. Plus, it allows them to buy what they want instead of you wasting precious time trying to figure out what the person likes only for them to frown on it on the inside or take it back and exchange it later. You can never go wrong with money. I’ve never seen anyone say, I wish you gave me a better gift.

Gift cards

Gift cards are always a great last minute gift for children because it allows them to buy what they want. If you don’t want to give money, give a gift card. It’s pretty much the same thing just takes more time buying the card. You can buy gift cards almost anywhere now and you can buy either specific gift cards for certain stores or you can buy Visa or MasterCard gift card that can be used just like a Bank Card almost anywhere. The downside to a gift card as opposed to cash is that some gift cards come with expiration dates or can only be spent on certain items or at certain locations. Before you buy the gift card make sure you read the fine print.

Treats

Treats are always a great gift for kids. There are not many kids who would turn away a jar of goodies. Make sure it’s an assortment of treats – the more variety, the better. The children will feel like they have just been handed a candy store. For treats, you can put them in a decorative jar. Not only will the treats stay fresh but it will look nice too.

Electronics

Most kids today enjoy electronics. Anything that resembles a cell phone or computer will work. iPhone and iPads are also popular among kids. Kids would also enjoy anything with music or movies on it. So a popular CD or DVD will also work.

Clothes

Kids don’t want to receive socks or clothes but they would like to receive clothes with their names on them. A picture of them on their clothing is even better. Kids love wearing something with their name or picture on it. This gift can be purchased by visiting shops or online shops that make personalized items. Make sure you have the person’s name spelled right. You can also put other personal information on it besides their name.
