Healthy Habits: Vacation Fitness

It can be hard to stay physically fit on vacation - new routines, new foods, unfamiliar places. But you can do some things to make sure you keep your physical activity up and stay healthy.

- Look ahead of time to see if there are parks near where you'll be staying to use walking paths.
- Brush up on exercises that don't take a lot of space or equipment, like squats, pushups, curls, or simple resistance band workouts.
- Aim for shorter, high-intensity workouts so they don't take as long and you can enjoy the rest of the day.
- Incorporate walking instead of driving for seeing sights that are nearby. Or swim and play in the water instead of lounging on the beach.
- Pack healthy snacks, or buy some at the nearest grocery store when you get there. Then you'll be less tempted to buy junk while you're out and about.
