Grilling on a budget is actually quite simple with these tips from
Jeff Yeager of AARP Publications.
·
Skip on the cost of lighter fluid and instead use a charcoal chimney (available at most home supply stores) or you can make
your own from an old coffee can.
·
Aluminum foil is great for grilling because you can use it to steam fish and vegetables. You can also use a wad of tin foil
to scrub grease off of your grille.
·
To maximize tenderness while saving money on charcoal, slowly cook the food by placing it on around the edges of the grill.
·
If you cook with gas, you can save five or ten dollars by taking it to get refilled at your local propane supplier instead
of exchanging it for a prefilled gas tank.
Cutting
costs while barbequing is so easy, so don’t hesitate to grill away with
all your loved ones!
