Disclosure: I received complimentary tickets to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
My daughters and I had a great evening Sunday watching Charlotte's Web at the Children's Theatre Company. It's targeted audience is grades K+, although my almost-4-year-old enjoyed herself too. My older daughter has never read the book; I have - and I think we both enjoyed it equally well. The story moves along at a good pace - not too rushed, but not too bogged down in detail. I also like the way the actors have such good timing and choreography that things appear to happen effortlessly in perfect sequence (especially things like sound effects with the Wilbur puppet at the beginning, which had a lot of kids in my area convinced there was a real pig).
The play runs through October 27th. You can buy tickets individually starting at $24; lap passes are available for $10 for kids 3 and under, and select numbers of tickets are available Sunday at noon for $10 for that week's performances. You can also apply for discount tickets based on income eligibility.
