Consumer Critique: Bystrictin

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

According to WebMD.com, “there have been surveys that show an average of a five to seven pound gain in weight in winter.”  So a lot of us need a little extra help keeping our summer health in check during the cold winter months.

Bystrictin Advanced Hunger Control is the only product that uses Gastric Fill Technology to help restrict calories. This unique formula provides a feeling of fullness and acts on the brain to release cholecystokinin, the hormone that sends satiety signals to the brain. So both your brain and your body are telling you that you are full. It’s a natural approach to weight management, rather than using drugs or surgery. The powder can be mixed or blended with water, skim milk, soymilk or almond milk and should complement at least one balanced meal per day while you reach your goal weight. It comes in Swiss Chocolate and Vanilla Bean.

I got to try the Vanilla Bean flavor, and it was pretty good - especially when I mixed it into milk. In water it felt like it was still missing something. It definitely did help me feel fuller, but not bloated, which is what I was worried about. The description sounds a little odd, but basically it's because of the soluble fiber blend. And it's a whole lot better than gastric bypass or other stomach restrictive surgeries!
