Consumer Critique: Just What Kind of Mother Are You?

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

I really should have read the press release on this one more carefully. When I originally got asked to review Just What Kind of Mother Are You? by Paula Daly, I was thinking it was some sort of parenting personality inventory book. Then I got it and re-read the release, and realized it was a fiction book. I still very much enjoyed it.

When Lucinda disappears when she's supposed to be spending the night at Lisa's house with Lisa's daughter, Lisa blames herself - and so does everyone else. With an eerie similarity to another disappearance in the area recently, and a jealousy of Lucinda's seemingly perfect family, there is a lot of intrigue surrounding this disappearance. Paula takes us through the history of Lisa and her relationship with Kate, Lucinda's mother, and her family. With unexpected twists and realistic emotion, this novel is about much more than just Lucinda's disappearance. It's about marriage, parenting, and friendship. It was impossible for me to put down the day I started reading it!
