The National Fire
Protection Association (NFPA) launched a contest to coincide with this
year’s Fire
Prevention Week (FPW) in which participants can test their fire safety
knowledge and enter for a chance to receive an Apple® iPad mini®. The contest
runs through September 28th, 2013.
“NFPA developed this contest to
give people an easy and fun way to brush up on basic fire safety tips,” said
Lorraine Carli, NFPA vice president of Communications. “By taking just a few
minutes out of their day to participate, people can take steps to improve their
personal safety by watching a two-minute video and taking a short quiz to find
out a if they know a few basics of fire safety.”
Visitors to the contest website will be able to view a brief music video, review an
accompanying safety information sheet and take a short quiz based on the
information. Quiz-takers will receive one entry for submitting a completed quiz
and entry form, and a bonus entry if they share their quiz results on Twitter.
