I recently had an opportunity to try out the game 20 Express from Blue Orange Games. I like all the games I've ever tried from this company. They're educational without being overtly so. Games teach logic, critical thinking, reasoning, observation, etc.
This particular game involves creating sequences of numbers. I'm a math teacher, so I'll admit I love numbers. But you don't have to be good at math to have fun with this game, you just have to be able to count. Even my almost-six-year-old was able to grasp the concept (although the rules suggest 8+ and she did struggle with some of the strategy). The train theme is fun too. It's part chance and part skill, so it helps prevent one player from always dominating. It was a great family game, and I look forward to playing it at a higher level as my girls get older!
