Consumer Critique: Moshi Monsters Katsuma Unleashed (DS/3DS)

Disclosure: I received complimentary products as a thank you for this post. All opinions are my own.

My girls are just starting to get old enough to get into video games, so trying out Moshi Monsters: Katsuma Unleashed was really fun for them. The monsters are adorable, not scary, so even my younger daughter had fun (although she couldn't play well, she liked to peek over her sister's or my shoulder when we played). In the game Dr. Strangelove kidnaps all the Moshis except Katsuma. Players work to help Katsuma rescue the other Moshi friends and use their powers to keep Moshi Picchu's secret safe.

As an added bonus and to keep gameplay fresh, there are unlockable areas, as well as codes redeemable for virtual items at www.MoshiMonsters.com. If you're looking for a last-minute idea for your kids for Christmas, or for something to get them later in the year, this is a cute, fun game!
