Jumpstart recently launched the JumpStart® Blast-Off
learning series! This includes JumpStart®
Blast-Off: Math (iTunes, Google Play, Amazon) and JumpStart®
Blast-Off: Early Reading (iTunes, Google Play, Amazon), two apps that provide young learners with key practice
in elementary math and early reading skills.
These
two apps are a great value, filled with educational fun.
Young learners will go through a variety of early reading topics such as word
pronunciation and beginning phonics, and they will also cover math topics such
as basic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication and
division.
I liked how flexible they were. Both apps held the attention of both daughters (ages 4 and 6) who are at very different levels educationally. The reading one was a little bit low for my 6-year-old, as she's reading well above grade level, but the math one was great for her. The graphs were engaging, game play was simple to understand, but not boring. The girls had a lot of fun!
