Consumer Critique: Stress Free Kids

Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of the book.

Lots of parents are aware of their own stress levels, but many don't consider the stress levels of their children. Stress Free Kids not only encourages parents to be aware of children's stress level, but also how to keep it manageable.

The book has real, practical tools - relaxation tips, breathing techniques, positive affirmations - that will help stressed-out kids. The stress-relief tips are targeted specifically towards children, although they share many principles that help parents manage their own stress.

The techniques in the book are great for a variety of stressful situations - run-of-the-mill worries about grades, bigger issues like bullying, or even major life events such as a death in the family. I found the book to be a great, comprehensive approach to alleviating stress of all kinds.

Award-winning childhood stress expert Lori Lite created her Stress Free Kids® curriculum to alleviate her children’s stress and to help them sleep peacefully. Lite is author of the Indigo Dreams series, which has been awarded the CNE Award of Excellence, and has been featured on several media outlets, including CBS News, USA Today, Web MD, Mind, Body, and Soul, and Prevention Magazine.
