Healthy Habits: 7 Years Younger

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

This time of year a lot of people are looking to make a fresh start on making new habits and breaking old ones. If you are one of those people who just doesn't know where to start, then 7 Years Younger: The Anti-Aging Breakthrough Diet might be a good resource.

If you are already living a really healthy lifestyle, this book may not be for you. I was already following a lot of the guidelines in this book; on the other hand, it was really nice to have new healthy recipes to add to the rotation.

What I did like about this book, especially for people who need to make major changes, is that it isn't brand-dependent, and that it's realistic. It focuses on foods that deliver a high nutritional punch, especially those with heart-healthy benefits such as lowered cholesterol and blood pressure. As a side benefit, many of these foods also help nourish skin for a younger-looking appearance. The book also dedicates space to avoiding temptations, eating out, and incorporating exercise - all helpful and practical.

So how can you eat to look younger? Eat a wide variety of colors of fruits and veggies, lean protein (including fish and legumes), and whole grains, while avoiding too much sugar and alcohol. To get all the details, you should buy the book. You can also find a wealth of information for free at 7yearsyounger.comfacebook.com/7yearsyounger@7yearsyoungerpinterest.com/7yearsyounger.
