Consumer Critique: Balance - The Business/Life Connection

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.

Balance: The Business-Life Connection is a great book that doesn't necessarily talk about success - success is, instead, looked at as a by-product of having a life in balance. There are a lot of things that lead to balance in the short run, but may not be sustainable over a whole career - or may end up with people making sacrifices they didn't intent to make.

Instead, James Cusumano, who has experiences that include rock star, executive, entrepreneur, and more, focuses on purpose and passion. He looks at how the people we meet affect our success, what makes a fulfilling life, and finding our personal essence and passion.

I loved the book's focus on balance and passion, as opposed to one-size-fits-all approach to what many people deem as "success." I also like that the author has worn so many hats, so he can speak with experience. It was worth reading, and inspired me to make a change in my own life to reach better balance.
